Haven House Children's Hospice has been selected as World Snooker's charity partner for the 2011/12 season.

To announce the partnership, Barry Hearn, Chairman of World Snooker, visited Haven House. He said:

"I am absolutely delighted to be able to support such a wonderful charity that makes a massive difference to the lives of children and their families. We are working with Haven House on a range of exciting initiatives and are aiming to raise a minimum of £120,000 in the next year."

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive at Haven House, said:

"This is an extremely significant relationship for the hospice. Both partners are dedicated to raising as much money as possible for the life-limited children and their families that Haven House cares for. This will make a significant impact to the work that we do and we look forward to working closely with World Snooker over the coming months."

"Please support 22 year old Judd Trump in the Snooker World Championship. He won the Williamhill.com York Championships in early December 2011 and Haven House is hoping he can replicate his win in the World Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from 21st April to 7th May 2012."
