In the past two years Haven House has rapidly become a charity very close to my heart and offers incredible respite care for children aged 0 -19 suffering with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and their families.

I have been fortunate enough to work, every week, alongside the care team who provide vital support and care for these families. I was shocked to learn that an average Day of Care at Haven House costs an average of £5,666! As well as supporting respite care, I have become part of the Teenage Cancer Group, the Dad’s Support Group and have also assisted with Music Therapy sessions. These are just a few of the of the additional services Haven House offers making it such a special place.

A father spoke to me recently and his words will always stick with me when I describe the amazing job the team at Haven House does:

People’s perception of a hospice is that the children don’t have a life – when actually coming to Haven House gives them an amazing life

I am hoping that between us, we can be involved in a day filled with fun, laughter and of course competition to raise funds and awareness for Haven House.

If you can't attend on the day it would be great if you could still support the event by making a donation to a great cause. Alternatively you can sponsor a hole if you prefer.
