Get involved Fundraise Help seriously ill children spend time at home this Christmas Donate Families want to be together at home over Christmas. It’s not always easy for families to travel to and from the hospice, especially when children have complex conditions and needs. You can help seriously ill children like Annabelle enjoy precious time at home with their family this Christmas and all year round. Please support us by organising a fundraising activity at your workplace around our Corporate Fundraising Week (9th to 13th December). By getting together with colleagues to make your fundraising a team effort, you can track how much you raise and have fun at the same time! Any donation we receive, big or small, will make a difference for our children. Here are some examples of how your team's donation could make a difference: The Gift of Family Time - £250 would help fund support at home by our specialist care team, giving a family more precious time together this Christmas. The Gift of Music - £500 pays for two full days of Music Therapy, so our children can experience the joy of music through interaction with a Music Therapist. The Gift of Play - £3,000 could fund two weeks’ of play therapy so children can enjoy precious time with a specialist Play Co-ordinator. This also provides a much-needed respite for their parents from the constant strain of looking after a seriously ill child. You can choose the fundraising event(s) which works best for you and your organisation. Here are some ideas to get you started: Christmas jumper day Quiz or Christmas games Bake off or cake sale Cyclothon or other sporting event to work off those extra calories before Christmas! You can also buy an individual gift for a child from our Wish List. When you buy a gift or make a donation, don’t forget to send us your Christmas wish. Every Christmas wish will be shared with our children, families and care team. If you want to set up a dedicated fundraising page for your organisation, we can help you. Please get in touch with Kate Rosenthal or Caroline Milton. You can read more about Annabelle’s story here, or watch our film: Please help us make this a Happy Christmas for Annabelle and all the other children and families we support. Haven House helps around 370 children every year, but it is estimated that there are 2,000 more who need support and could be helped. 81% of our donations come from people like you and it is the reason the hospice exists.
