OMG, after talking about it for years, I  am actually going to be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 8th October.

I've been running for years but 10k has pretty much been my limit. However, I was inspired by a mum who cares for a life-limited child and still found time to train for and run the London Marathon for Haven House this year. If she can run 26 miles then surely I can run 13 I thought!

I have to admit though that I have found training really hard going, especially during the Summer holidays where I have had to go either at 7am or 7pm. I am getting there though and really want to do myself proud; I am aiming for sub 2 hours.

Once again I am running for Haven House; my favourite charity and the one I have worked for since 2010.
