This session will be on the subject of The Mental Capacity Act and financial planning.

Join our interactive workshop to explore experiences of young people and their families and demonstrate practical aspects of rights based decision making and related legislation.

The workshop will enable participants to:

  • Know the rights of young people and of their family carers in relation to decision making;
  • Understand the 5 key principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005;
  • Understand the decision making process and how to support young people to be as involved as possible;
  • Utilise practical tools to support young people to make decisions.
