Two giants in business came together yesterday in support of our hospice raising thousands of pounds.

The event ‘60 minutes with Lord Sugar’, was hosted by the advertising industry’s most prominent figure Sir Martin Sorrell, at The Savoy, London.

The host of BBC One’s The Apprentice was on fine form as he was quizzed by Sir Martin and the audience on topics ranging from Brexit, Trump, Anti-Semitism, millennials work ethic and Spurs.

The business breakfast, which attracted 140 guests, raised nearly £50,000 for Haven House.

Guests also heard from Steve and Rachel Brodie, parents to baby Isaac, who were supported by Haven House during the final days of his short life.

Chief Executive for Haven House Mike Palfreman added:

Events like this don’t just happen. I would like to thank Lord Sugar and Sir Martin for giving their time, insight and business acumen to us. To have two such incredible speakers in the same room is a huge privilege and I am grateful to them both for their commitment to Haven House. I would also like to extend my thanks and gratitude to our parent speakers, our sponsors and to all those who attended and helped us raise such a significant amount for Haven House. The range of services we provide cost £4.2million per year to deliver. Events like this are a vital way for us to raise funds so we can continue to support local children and their families.

Haven House would like to thank the events sponsors Treehouse Nursery, Vfund and Regent Land & Development.
