News & stories A new challenge for Casey Haven House Children’s Hospice has launched its New Year, New Start campaign for 2017 with a brand new ‘Chilly Dip’ challenge for Essex model Casey Batchelor. The Waltham Abbey star will brave the winter chill and dip into Hampstead Heath Lido on 12 February with the aim of swimming one to five lengths in order to raise funds for the charity. Afterwards participants will be able to warm up in the poolside sauna and enjoy a bowl of chilli at the lido cafe bar. The Chilly Dip is part of a whole host of new fundraising and volunteering activities designed to encourage people to support Haven House in 2017. Activities include Dry January, an opportunity to ditch the booze after Christmas and refresh in partnership with Alcohol Concern. In March, Haven House’s annual Make a Will Week returns with local solicitors providing a free standard Will writing and updating service in exchange for a donation to Haven House. Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “With so many activities taking place as part of our New Year New Start campaign there really is something for everyone “By supporting Haven House as your New Year’s resolution you can have fun, improve your health, look after your loved ones and know that you are making a difference to the lives of local life-limited children and their families. “From our Chilly Dip with Casey Batchelor, to donating your unwanted Christmas presents to our charity shops, there list of ways you can support our work are endless.” To find out more about Haven House’s New Year, New Start campaign please visit our page.
