SCCI Alphatrack Ltd’s employee John Garratt has raised £6,357 - more than enough to ‘Pay for a Day’ of care at Haven House.

This amount covers the cost of providing 24 hours of care for local life-limited children and their families.

SCCI Alphatrack, one of the UK's leading digital TV solution and Fire/Life Safety system providers, has supported Haven House for many years and began a Charity of the Year partnership in 2016.

Staff have previously raised funds by taking part in Haven House’s annual Corporate Quiz, Golf Day and by abseiling the Harlow Water Tower.

In 2017, John took on an a hugely gruelling challenge namely scaling the impressive Mera Peak. The trek began in the town of Lukla and involved visiting a remote monastery before scaling the route via the icy Mera La over the course of three weeks.

Natalie Chevin, Head of Corporate and Major Gifts at Haven House, said: “We are delighted that John, supported by SCCI Alphatrack has been able to raise enough funds to Pay for a Day of care at our hospice.

“SCCI Alphatrack have been incredible supporters for many years and John has literally climbed the highest mountain in the world for our families.

“We hope more businesses can be encourage to follow their example and support our hospice by paying for a day of care in our 15th birthday year.”
