Eddie Hearn, Vice Chairman and Group Managing Director of Matchroom Sport, is in training for The Virgin Money London Marathon, which he will be running for Haven House Children’s Hospice.

Speaking about his decision to run for the Woodford Green charity, Hearn explains; ‘Over the past three years, I have seen what Haven House does for local life-limited children and their families.  As Director of The PDC (Professional Darts Corporation), we have raised over £150,000 for the charity and now I want to add to that by reaching my personal Marathon target.’

Eddie is one of 21 local runners who will be tackling the course for Haven House on April 13th and all funds raised will help to support the charity in its work with local life-limited children and their families.  So far, Eddie has reached £3,500, but he is hoping to exceed that total.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of the charity explains; ‘The support we have had from Eddie and the Hearn family has been nothing short of amazing and we are enormously grateful to them. In these tough financial times, we are reliant on the support and generosity of our local business community more than ever.’
