Glyn Hopkin, one of the largest car dealer groups in the UK, has donated a new van to Haven House which will make it easier to transport donated items to our five charity shops.

The vehicle will enable Haven House to increase furniture collections and provide a better service to our wonderful local supporters who wish to donate their goods.

Founder and Chairman Glyn Hopkin visited Haven House to officially hand over the keys and receive a tour of the newly refurbished hospice and grounds on Wednesday 26 June.  

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Glyn Hopkin for donating a brand new van to our hospice. 

“Our previous van was more than 15 years old and had become very expensive to run.

“We were finding it difficult to arrange for donated clothing and furniture to be transported to our charity shops which is an essential source of income for our charity.

“The new van is a wonderful gift from Glyn Hopkin in our 15th birthday year and will make a big difference to our retail team.”
