Record number for golf day

A record 22 teams took part in the annual Haven House Golf Day on Thursday 18 May at Abridge Golf & Country Club, raising £14,300 for the hospice.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: "Once again, our Golf Day has raised a fantastic amount for life-limited children and their families in our surrounding area. I would like to thank Abridge Golf & Country Club and our sponsors for making the day such a success.

"The fantastic amount raised would not have been possible without the support of all of our guests.

"We are also very grateful to our main sponsors V-Fund/Landhold Developments and F J Church and Sons, as well as all of our hole sponsors.

"Thankfully, the weather held out for our golfers with Wilson James taking the winners shield."
