2020 is not only the start of a new decade but is an Olympic year, and in keeping with the sporting theme Haven House has launched Tri3 - a challenge encouraging people to complete three sporting events in 12 months to raise essential funds for the hospice.

Whether it be cycling, running, trekking, skydiving or abseiling, we have a range of events to suit all ages and abilities and for those whose who want to get fit or do something daring.

Events Fundraising Officer, William Arnold, said:

A new year brings the chance for new opportunities and new challenges. This year, we really are asking people to go that extra mile for Haven House in completing three incredible challenges. From tackling the UK’s tallest sculpture by abseiling down the Orbit or running 13.1miles across the capital or perhaps jumping 13,000 feet through the air– we really do have a fantastic range of challenges for people to get involved with.

New for this year is the Mont Blanc Trek, which involves trekking across three countries in three days circling the highest peak in Western Europe.

Haven House relies on the generosity of local people to keep its doors open to the 379 local families who turn to them each year. The hospice, in Woodford Green, provides specialist care for seriously ill children and their families.

Will added:

We always get such great feedback from our participants and by signing up, not only are you doing something positive for yourself, you will be helping to raise funds for those families who need it the most.

By taking part you will automatically join the hospice’s #PurplePack, a team of Haven House Heroes. Participants will receive bespoke support from a member of the events team, regular updates about Haven House events and information about the vital services provided in the community.
