TV presenter, singer and fitness expert Michelle Heaton wants the public to get behind Haven House Children’s Hospice’s New Year New You campaign for 2016.

The campaign aims to encourage supporters to either fundraise for Haven House by undertaking a challenge event or to volunteer to help with our work.

Throughout 2016 Haven House will be hosting a range of challenges, ranging from abseils to mud runs.

Michelle Heaton said: “I am thrilled to be taking part in New You New You for Haven House. It promises to be really exciting and I hope that as many people as possible get behind it.

“From an abseil, bungee jump, firewalk and skydive to a sponsored cycle, run, swim or walk, there really is something for everyone.

“By supporting Haven House as your New Year’s resolution not only can you have a lot of fun, but you can also help the hospice continue to make a difference to the lives of local life-limited children and their families.”

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “We are delighted that Michelle Heaton is supporting New Year New You. With her passion for fitness she is the perfect person to front our campaign.

“For thrill-seekers, we have everything from a bungee jump at the O2, to a firewalk in the grounds of the hospice, and of course a full range of mud runs, cycle rides and sponsored swimming events taking place throughout the year.

“We’re also encouraging people to donate their time to Haven House. We rely on volunteers to help in the hospice, shops, and administration offices and of course, helping out in the community at public collections and other fundraising events.

“Whether it’s a few hours a week, an hour a day, or something more occasional, there is always a role we can find you.”
