Ordinary2Extraordinary (O2E) raised £23,500 for Haven House Children’s Hospice in 2016 by taking on a series of daring sporting challenges.

O2E is a welcoming community group that encourages individuals to get out of their comfort zones and achieve their sporting dreams.

Their incredible year of fundraising included a trek to Everest Base Camp, a 250km ultra-marathon in Iceland, a cycle from Gothenburg to Stockholm and a 45 mile Juniors cycle around Windsor.

They smashed their original target of £15,000 raising more than £23,500 for Haven House. O2E became aware of the charity through Linda Eriera, one of our longest serving volunteers, and members of the O2E Committee are dedicated volunteers in our Holistic Care Centre.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive at Haven House, said: “We are so grateful to the O2E community for raising an incredible amount for our hospice

“The challenges they took on require a huge amount of training and motivation. Their dedication to supporting local life-limited children and their families is admirable and we really appreciate their ongoing commitment the hospice.”
