Sam Faiers from The Only Way Is Essex officially opened Haven House Children’s Hospice’s new charity shop in Romford on Saturday 16 July.

Fans of the TV star were out in force to meet Sam who arrived to open the shop on 52 South Street shortly before 1pm.

Sam was accompanied by her mum, Suzanne, seven-month-old son, Paul, and a film crew from her new ITVBe series, Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries.

After cutting a purple ribbon to officially mark the arrival of Haven House’s new charity shop, which began trading last month, Sam went inside and posed for photographs with her fans.

Sam and her sister Billie have been long-time supporters of Haven House. Sam recently raised £760 for the charity selling items from her eBay shop. In October Billie raised £5,000 by appearing on ITV game show All Star Mr and Mrs with her fiancé Greg Shepherd.

Sam said: “I was delighted to open Haven House’s new charity shop in Romford. It’s a great addition to South Street and I was very impressed with the design and all the high quality stock.

“Haven House is a brilliant charity to support and I hope to visit the hospice in Woodford Green soon to see all the wonderful work that goes on there.”

Matt Lord, Head of Retail, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to see Sam at our new charity shop in Romford at 52 South Street.

“She spent considerable time speaking with our shoppers and also posing for photographs and signing autographs with her fans.

“We are delighted to hear that Sam will be visiting our hospice in the next few weeks to see how proceeds from our shops help support our children and their families.”
