Sixteen teams from ten different companies completed our first-ever 24/7 corporate challenge, to raise more than £60,000 for Haven House.

Each team chose their preferred combination of walking, running and cycling to reach their target of covering 247km in just a week – to reflect the vital 24/7 care we provide to seriously ill children and their families.

Teams raised a significant sum to contribute to the magnificent overall total with the worthy winners being Ocean Holidays from Romford, who fought off a late challenge from insurance company George Burrows to be crowned our first-ever corporate challenge champions!

Ocean Holidays’ team co-captain Danielle Charman said:

We loved being part of this challenge and working together as a team to raise money for Haven House. We know their fundraising has been hit hard by Covid-19 so we're pleased we could help. And of course we're really proud to be crowned the first-ever Haven House corporate challenge champions!"

There was an additional award for the Fastest 10km run, which was won by Kieran Freeman of Centor Insurance (pictured, above right), who completed his 10km run in 39 minutes, averaging an excellent 3.54 / km. Congratulations Kieran!

Teams also had the opportunity to submit photos to celebrate their 24/7 challenge experience with the winning entry being from Ania Oszejko of BNY Mellon, pictured below.

Thank you to all the teams who took part, from the following companies:

Barclays, BNY Mellon, Campbell Johnston Clark, Centor Insurance, Dechert LLP, George Burrows, IGI, Ocean Holidays, ORBIAN and The Media People. And thank you ORBIAN for the lovely photo montage.

We’re also grateful to our long-time supporters, Galliard Homes and ORBIAN, who funded a ‘matched giving pot’ so every £1 raised by all sixteen teams is worth £2 to the hospice. This is hugely appreciated as it allowed us to double our fundraising total.
