Salary 

£50,000 Per Annum  (FTE - £55,555)

31.5 hours per week - Hybrid working available (Minimum of 3 days per week in Woodford Green office)

Summary

Haven House Children’s Hospice supports hundreds of families, looking after children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Our mission is to provide the highest quality palliative and holistic care services to children and their families in our local communities.

With funding challenges throughout the hospice sector, Finance plays a crucial role in supporting the charity and overseeing its financial management.  As a key part of that work, we are now looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the operational activities of the Finance function.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts on a timely basis for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team, Finance & Resources Committee and the Board of Trustees
  • Leading on the planning of the annual budgeting preparation process and the collation of individual budgets
  • Leading on the planning and timely production of the annual report and accounts
  • Managing and supporting the development of two finance officers
  • Leading on the charity’s VAT returns and compliance processes
  • Cash flow forecasting and operational cash management
  • Identifying and implementing process and systems improvements to deliver more effective working practices and make better use of existing and new technology.

This role will be based at our beautiful woodland setting in Woodford Green where there is on-site parking, public transport and easy access from the Central Line.
