This year you can help us to create some special Christmas memories by supporting our Christmas Wishes appeal for Richard House and Haven House Children's Hospices.

Christmas is a special time, particularly for mums and dads who are looking after children with complex health conditions. Yet, holidays can be a very stressful time for our families as they try to balance the time they can spend with brothers and sisters, as well as protecting their children from winter bugs which can have a devastating effect on their health.

Instead of buying a toy this Christmas, please consider supporting our families through our Wishes appeal. Time in the care of our specialist nurses and time together as a family is invaluable. Your support will ensure that none of our families feel alone this Christmas.

Why not encourage your team to fundraise for us and have some fun while raising money? Ideas can include a Christmas jumper day, mince pie morning, or Secret Santa donation, and every penny will make a big difference.

How your donations can help:

£5 could pay for glitter and pipe cleaners for a child with a life-limiting condition to the make that precious Christmas card for their family.

£10 could help buy seasonal goodies that meet our seriously ill children’s often complex dietary needs, so that they can be jolly too.

£25 could help Santa (and his elves) buy a special adaptive toy for a child with complex health needs.

£75 could pay for an initial visit where a nurse will learn about the child and meet their parents for the first time.

£140 could pay for three hours of play activities, allowing a life-threatened child to have fun in a safe, supported environment.

£250 could fund a family entertainer to run a Christmas activity day to give families a chance to spend time together at the hospice with staff on hand to support them. Ho Ho Ho!

£500 could go towards sensory equipment for a child with sensory needs enabling them to start the New Year being able to communicate through sound.

If you need any help or support with your fundraising, or to apply for Citi matched funding which will be available for all Christmas fundraising, please contact Erica Chamberlain at Citi or Kate Rosenthal / Kathryn Elvin from the hospices.

Thank you for supporting our Christmas Wishes appeal.

If our appeal exceeds our target, funds donated will be used by Richard House and Haven House in accordance with their charitable objectives.
