Clair Barber

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
You may ask; Why is Clair being foolish enough to run a marathon and her first marathon at the age of 50 at that? And the answer is that I am not entirely sure, I seem to have somehow landed up doing this without ever having really planned to do it. In fact, I distinctly recall a couple of years ago telling someone that I was not one of those crazy runners that would end up doing a marathon, just not my thing, I prefer to run for the enjoyment of it. I have pondered this a few times on my long lonely training runs and I confess I may have had a couple of uncharitable thoughts about the two good friends who seem to have inadvertently and independently got me into this mess - while not in it themselves.
Anyway, I am doing it and so I just have to lump it and get on with it. And if you happen to see me on the odd training run and I look like I might be enjoying it – don’t grass me up!

I am extremely proud to be running in support of Haven House. Some of you may know that I have done some fundraising for Haven House in the past and I am happy to be able to do so again. Haven House's vision is to achieve the best possible life for every baby, child and young person with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and their families, who live in our local communities. It’s a great cause, and your donation will help them achieve even more. Donating is easy, quick and secure.
Thank you for supporting me.
