We're urgently seeking your support for Haven House Children's Hospice, a vital charity which makes a massive difference to the lives of many children and families, but which today faces significant financial challenges due to COVID-19.

Mike Palfreman has been CEO of Haven House since 2011. Catherine Roe, CEO of Elior UK, is an active supporter of the hospice and spoke recently at the charity's Women in Business event. Together Catherine and Mike are asking for your support.

The hospice is currently faced with an unprecedented drop in income - most fundraising events are cancelled or postponed, shops are closed and many regular supporters are unable to fundraise as they have their own financial challenges. With 80% of income normally coming from fundraising and retail, the impact is potentially huge - the loss in the next 3 months alone could be as much as £500k.

During the current crisis, the hospice's care services remain in demand and vital. Working closely with the NHS, they continue to help families by prioritising 24/7 emergency and end of life care, accepting more referrals and taking non-emergency children out of hospital, as well as increasing support for families in the home. But with limited guaranteed income, resources are nearing breaking point.

Haven House based in North East London provides a wide range of essential services for life-limited children and young people, and their families - support before, at and beyond end of life, as well as respite, play and therapies. The hospice gives these children the happiest lives possible for however short a time, and enables families to make memories they can hold onto long into the future. The difference the hospice continues to make to many lives is huge and tangible.

Please join us in supporting Haven House Children's Hospice through these challenging times and beyond by giving whatever you can afford. A very big thank you from both of us.

Catherine and Mike
