Andrew Yuill All,

I don’t think I’m quite old enough for it to be classed as a mid-life crisis (?), however in April I will be taking part in the London Marathon for the first time, in aid of charity.

Every year I watch the event on the telly and, although incredibly inspirational, the idea of going through hard winter training and trouncing 26.2 miles around town wasn’t something that had ever taken my fancy, and one that fills me with dread. However after being roped into entering the Brighton Half last year I quickly caught the running bug, one thing lead to another, and thought I’d set myself a personal challenge and have a go at the big one.

I wanted to run for a small charity as figured that every penny can really make a difference, and I’ve selected Haven House Children’s Hospice, whom since 2003 have provided a range of crucial support to life-limited children and their families to help them through the most difficult circumstances imaginable.

I would like to share with you the link to the hospice’s appeal film (https://www.havenhouse.org.uk/harry-kai-and-aisha). In 2016/17 Haven House need to secure £3.6m to fund all of their hospice activities, with only 23% of the this funded by Government sources.

My target is £2,000 but I would really like to raise as much as possible. It would be great if you could sponsor as little or as much as you can.

I thank you in advance for your generosity.

All the best,
Andy
