In March, I was busy working in the office when an email pinged into my inbox asking for volunteers to run a half marathon. My initial reaction was to hit the delete button but the combined allure of supporting Haven House and Richard House Children's Hospices whilst getting fit(ter) got the better of me.

The hospice provide fantastic and absolutely vital work supporting adults, children and their familes at their times of most need. Sadly, I'm sure many of us are personally familar with the indespensable and compassionate service hospices provide.

As for me, I have to admit I'm giving it a good go. I'm not a runner, I'm way out of my comfort zone. I'm following a plan, getting up at 5am/6am to pound the streets before work with increasing distances. Heck, I even took my running shoes on holiday and set the alarm for 7am! It's certainly not pretty and its hard work.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me meet, and soar past, the fundraising target.

Many thanks in advance,

Mark Yeneralski
