Meet 19-month-old Rudy Hastings, the gorgeous boy this page is inspired by. Rudy is the son of Harry & Nicola Hastings, whom we have known for over 10 years.

Rudy was born in March 2020 with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Multiple Congenital Anomalies & seizures or MCAHS-1, which is characterised by global developmental delay, Epilepsy and Hypotonia (low muscle tone). Meaning Rudy can suffer from frequent seizures needed to be controlled with medication, he struggles to hold his head up, sit up or roll. MCAHS-1 is so extremely rare, that there are only 70 known cases WORLDWIDE. With so few cases to compare and huge variations in symptoms & severity, it is hard to know what life is going to be like for Rudy.

Harry & Nicola work tirelessly raising awareness & understanding for Rudy’s condition. Rudy’s story and their journey as a family can be followed on Instagram @rudysw0rld, to which we urge you to follow and understand just how special Rudy is.

Although Rudy is the main inspiration behind this Just Giving page, we have also been inspired by Harry & Nicola and wanted to help them with raising awareness & funds in aid of Haven House as Rudy benefits immensely from the care and therapies available.

Haven House provides invaluable respite, care and therapies for local children with complex needs and their families. Relying on fundraising Haven House provides events to help support the charity, which is why on the 20^th November we will be ‘Working Out for Rudy’ to help raise funds for this amazing charity!

We will be hosting a day of Fitness & Wellbeing at our Hot Yoga & Fitness Studio in Hornchurch Essex on Saturday 20^th November. We will have a full schedule of classes from Hot Yoga, HIIT & Inferno Hot Pilates from 08.00 – 16.30 with our Yoga teachers, Fitness Coaches and staff all giving up their free time to help run the event.

We have teamed up with some amazing local businesses for our Prize Draw along with our main sponsors. All proceeds raised on the day from prize draw entry & class entry will go to Haven House. Prize Draw entry will gain you access to all classes throughout the day.

Donations
