35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm (Hybrid working)

Haven House Children’s Hospice supports hundreds of families, looking after children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Our mission is to provide the highest quality palliative and holistic care services to children and their families in our local communities. Since the hospice began it has gone from strength to strength in both the care we provide to families as well as ensuring our audience is inspired by our work to support us.

We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a small dynamic Marketing and Communications team within the income generation directorate, with a creative and pro-active approach. The Marketing & Digital Officer will champion all marketing activity; raise our profile through targeted awareness and assist the wider fundraising teams through analysis and reporting. 

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • To work alongside the marketing and communications team to develop, create and deliver campaigns and appeals to support all fundraising targets
  • To work with the Senior Marketing Manager to plan and implement all marketing activity across the year and across the organisation
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager with website management. Continually improve the performance of our website including being involved in quarterly updates from web development team (CMS)
  • Generate new ideas for marketing approaches and activity, based on market research, insight and analytics
  • To produce engaging content in line with our campaigns and yearly communications calendar
  • Manage a content and communications planner, day to day social media channel posting and scheduling ensuring high levels of monitoring and moderating
  • To work with the Digital Fundraising Lead with content creation for digital fundraising campaigns – paid and organic
  • Evaluation and reporting on the performance of our digital marketing activities and channels by inputting into digital dashboards using Google Analytics, social media analytics and email program analytics
  • To work closely with the wider organisational team to manage and produce all offline assets including care related assets and resourcing assets with the support of Senior Marketing Manager

The role will be line managed by the Senior Marketing Manager and working closely with the Digital Lead, Community Fundraisers, Corporate Fundraisers, and our Individual Giving team. The role also requires excellent copy writing and editing, using design tools (Canva), organisational marketing and communication support for both online and offline marketing assets.
