Sing or play, make music for a day.

Raise money in your school to help give the gift of music to our children and young people at Haven House.

Music makes us happy, it lifts our mood, relaxes us and evokes strong memories of people and places. We can all respond to and appreciate music despite disability or illness. At Haven House we provide a music therapy service for children and young people which aims to encourage new ways of communicating and exploring the world around them without the need for words.

Fun ways for your school to get involved

Hit the High Note - How many songs can you sing in 30 minutes? Select your favourite songs, warm up your vocal chords and turn up the volume. Get sponsored for every minute or for every song you sing.

Sound Wave - Have a singing assembly with a difference. The oldest children start the show then each year group follows on singing their favourite songs all the way down to the youngest children.

Amp it Up - Have a non-uniform day with attitude! For a suggested donation of £1 wear your loudest, most colourful outfit and add a bit of glam rock to the occasion.

Put on a show - Sing a song, play an instrument and celebrate your school's talent at your end of term performances or festivals and have a collection in aid of Haven House.

Choose Haven House as your Charity of the Year and 'Turn up the Volume' for the whole year.

Music therapy has meant that Kai now shows greater interaction with the outside world. He has learnt to sing along to the opening lines of his favourite ABC song and has started to form new sounds in an attempt to say words such as hello. Music is increasing his motivation to use his hands to play and explore, which was originally a huge challenge for him given his physical disability.
