It all started when my cycling buddy told me about Haven House’s incredible work supporting his nephew and family. It’s a place of pure joy and service. That was in 2018; I've done sponsored rides for them ever since.

 

Each year, Haven House needs £6 million to care for over 400 babies, children, and young people, along with their families. Fundraising and donations like yours make up 70%, enabling Haven House to provide almost 25,000 hours of palliative and holistic care. YOU make the difference.

This year, I am trialing most of the route from Haven House to Timisoara in north west Romania for a sponsored group ride next year, titled "For Children's Lives" raising for Haven House and Dăruiește Viață < https://www.daruiesteviata.ro/en/redirectioneaza >, the Romanian organisation which recently built the new children's wing of Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest paid for 100% from public donations and sponsorship. 

After cycling round Britain 3 years ago raising funds for Haven House, I felt invincible till a suspected heart attack just before Christmas that year. No heart damage fortunately. It was a wake-up call, leading a transformed life style, now comprehending the benefits of regular exercise, and glad of the dedicated support which aided my recovery, similar to the dedication of staff at Haven House and Dăruiește Viață.
