Every year we deliver a variety of volunteering days for our corporate partners and we'd be delighted to create a package of opportunities if you choose to partner with Haven House as your charity.

Volunteer in our gardens

As a Haven House partner, your teams can spend a day working hard in our beautiful grounds. With four acres of gardens to maintain, we rely on corporate volunteers to help us out so that our children and families can enjoy the grounds all year round. Our garden days run from April to October and work perfectly for a group of ten to twelve people. 

If your company chooses Haven House as their Charity of the Year you will be offered at least one day in our gardens as part of your partnership. We can also host larger groups for partners who run volunteering weeks or for those looking for a one-off team building day. We do request a donation to cover arranging the day, supervision and activities. Volunteering in our gardens also ensures you get the opportunity to look around the hospice and meet our Nursing team.

Volunteer in our shops

Our boutique style charity shops can be found in Chingford, North Chingford, Crouch End, Epping, Leytonstone, Loughton and Romford. Small teams can volunteer in our shops for the day and compete to drive up profit by undertaking practical tasks such as steaming and pricing clothes, serving customers and planning window displays. 

Turn this volunteering opportunity into a 'Store Wars Challenge Day' and multiple teams can compete against one another to see who can raise the most money in one day. The more creative you are, the more you will raise. You can read about how Centor raised over £3,500 with sixteen volunteers in four of our shops in one day.

Host a Hustle Day

Take on this 'Apprentice' style challenge and help us secure sponsors, raffle and auction prizes, and even donations for the hospice in this one-day team challenge.

The Haven House Hustle day is perfect for interns and graduates or for using as a team-building or development opportunity. It can take place on a morning/afternoon of your choice, in the comfort of your own office or at the hospice where we can squeeze in a tour of our facilities.
