Fun & Easy Fundraising Ideas for Primary Schools

• Sponsored run, skip, or dance-a-thon: Let each class take part in a fun physical challenge — around the playground or hall — and ask friends and family to sponsor their efforts.
• Bake sale: Children, staff, and parents bring in treats to sell during break or after school. Works great as a themed event — Harvest, Easter, or Summer Bake Off!
• Silence challenge: Can your pupils stay silent for an hour? Or a whole afternoon? Get sponsored for keeping quiet — a real challenge for some classes!
• Read-a-thon: Children set a reading goal for the week and get sponsored by page, book or time. It encourages literacy and raises money at the same time.
• Dress-up day or Non-Uniform Day: Pick a theme — superheroes, book characters, rainbow colours — and ask each child to donate £1 to take part.
