Get involved Volunteer Buddies activity volunteer We provide regular support groups and activity sessions for siblings to meet other brothers and sisters of children with life-limiting illnesses or those who have experienced bereavement. The service is hosted in a variety of settings including our Buddies hut in the grounds or trips off site. The groups are often divided between juniors (aged 5-11) and teens (12-18). For both groups it is an opportunity to have fun together and enjoy activities and outings. Brothers and sisters of a child who uses or has used our services are eligible to receive sibling support from the Buddies group. We require volunteers to come and assist at these activities, working alongside our buddies’ co-ordinator. Much of the role involves taking care of the needs of the children while they are at an event and joining in and assisting with the activity. For this role we ask, that you have some experience of working/volunteering with children. This role only runs in the school holidays as this is when the children are free.
