Purple Pot ambassadors needed. The role involves managing the area/high streets; keeping a check on the existing pots and replacing them when required. Our team will provide you with a detailed area sheet and admin and office support. Retail Assistants - We need support in our shops. If you would like to volunteer as a retail assistant we have seven shops in Crouch End, Epping, Romford, Loughton, Chingford Mount, North Chingford and Leytonstone. eBay volunteer - we need volunteers who are familiar with selling items on eBay and understand the general principles of selling online. The role involves assisting our Online Sales Manager and helping to sort through donations, researching to identify an items value and help with postage and packaging. This role is based in Romford. If you'd like to register your interest in any of the above roles please contact Andrea and Lisa. Volunteer inductions Come along to one of our inductions to find out more about what we do at Haven House Children's Hospice and what is expected of you as a volunteer. The session will include a tour of the hospice. Inductions are open to all active volunteers and anyone who is interested in volunteering with us in the future. Saturday 27 January 10am - 12.30 Events We are looking for volunteers to help with all of the events below. If you can help with anything please get in touch. Christmas Fair Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December, Haven House Children’s Hospice, 9am – 3.30pm The Christmas fair is a winter themed family fun day in aid of Haven House Children’s Hospice. There will be a Santa's grotto at the hospice and a woodland trail. We need volunteers to help us run the event on the day. Morning/afternoon/all day shifts available. Roles on the day will vary but can include meeting and greeting, selling raffle tickets, helping in the grotto or on the trail, serving refreshments. Christmas tree collections Saturday13/14 and 24/25 January 2024 Dates: Saturday 13 January and Sunday 14 January Time Commitment: 8am – 4pm (All day, morning or afternoon slots available) Location: Woodford County High School for Girls, IG8 9LA. Other locations may be added across Redbridge. Dates: Wednesday 24 January and possibly Thursday 25 January if we do not get everything finished on the Wednesday Time Commitment: 10am – 4pm (All day, morning or afternoon slots available) Location: Location within Redbridge TBC There will be a variety of different roles available; Driving the van to collect trees Being a passenger in the van navigating to the next collection postcode Being at the hub unloading the vans of the trees Phoning customers to arrange missed tree collections If you have access to your own van this would be great, and you can support us this way too.
