Get involved Events All events Event terms and conditions By registering for an event with Haven House Children's Hospice ("we") you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. General If you are registering other people into an event you are accepting the terms and conditions on their behalf and are confirming that you have been given the authorisation to do so. We reserve the right to close registration when participant levels reach capacity. Participants under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will take full responsibility for them throughout the event. You confirm that you are healthy and fit enough to participate in the event activity. If you have any fitness concerns, advice should by sought by your GP in advance of the event. For the purposes of the event personal information will be collected and may include medical data collected for health and safety purposes. Personal information will be stored, used by the event organiser and their partners in connection with the organisation, staging and administration of the event. Event changes, cancellations and refunds Once registered, you will receive written confirmation of your place. Your entry and any fees associated are non-transferable and non-refundable. We reserve the right to change any details of the event, such as course distance, the event date, changes to the course, or make any other amendment to the event that we deem necessary to stage the event. Any change to the event will be communicated to participants as soon as possible. Refunds can be requested in the event of any date change. No full or partial refund shall be made for any change in start time for an event provided the event takes place on the specified date of the event. We reserve the right to amend the event format or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or for any safety related reason with no further liability whatsoever arising from such cancellation. In the event of Haven House cancelling the participant will be offered a full refund unless the place is able to be transferred to a different day. Liability You agree to take part at your own risk. We shall not accept liability for any injury to any person as a result of participation in this event. We shall not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to participants’ property or property belonging to third parties. Any participant that acts negligently, maliciously, with willful misconduct or otherwise without due care and attention for the event or other participants, to cause the participants removal from the event, will not be entitled to a refund. Haven House reserves the right at any time to remove participants from the event. Sponsorship All sponsorship money collected in respect of the event should be paid directly to Haven House Children’s Hospice within three months of the event day. If you are unable to take part in the event, all sponsorship money will be treated as a donation, unless your donors request the return of their sponsorship. In these cases individual donors must be contacted by the participant, who must then ask them to contact Haven House directly. Communications and marketing By registering you agree to receive emails, mail and texts regarding event specifics. Prior to the event we will send you more information about the event, detailing information to enhance your experience. This may include location, parking details, health and safety information, recommended clothing and footwear. Personal information may be used by the organisation in connection with the promotion and marketing of future events and Haven House services. Such communication will have an ‘unsubscribe’ option. Photographs and video footage taken during the event may be used to publicise this event and the work of Haven House Children’s Hospice. If you do not wish to appear in any photographs or films please notify a member of the Haven House event team. Auctions Haven House runs a number of events which operate silent and live auctions. Before bidding on an item at one of our events, please read our auction terms and conditions. On the Day If you arrive 15 minutes after the start time of a walk/run, you will not be able to participate in the event and any registration fees will be treated as a donation to Haven House Children’s Hospice – refunds will not be issued. Whilst you may be able to sign up to take part in certain events on the day, it will be on a first come first served basis. We therefore reserve the right to refuse entry should an event already be oversubscribed. Haven House Children’s Hospice reserves the right to update their terms and conditions in relation to the event at any time or prior to the event day.
