Wembley magic with Harry Kane Last week, our CEO Justin, counsellor Alicia, and assistant facilities manager Dave had the absolute joy of joining three of our hospice superstars - Archie, Demi and Tommy - for an unforgettable night at Wembley Stadium to watch England take on Wales. The special evening was hosted by our amazing ambassador Harry Kane, who invited Haven House along as part of World Mental Health Day. The occasion also coincided with Hospice Care Week. From the moment they arrived, it was pure excitement. The children soaked up the atmosphere as the stadium filled - with Tommy declaring it was “epic” and that he wanted to “live there”! 🙂 The Wembley staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home - with extra chicken, chips, brownies and plenty of laughter. It was exciting for the children to watch the stadium fill and soak up the atmosphere. Demi is certain Harry Kane waved just for her, Archie cheekily tried to arrange a meeting with Phil Foden, and Tommy was thrilled to meet Harry’s dad - a truly magical evening all round. To top it all off, Harry came to do a personal meet and greet after the match, chatting with the children and signing their shirts - an experience they’ll treasure forever. Harry shared his own reflections too: “As we celebrate World Mental Health Day, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has connected with the Harry Kane Foundation. By working together with mental health experts and charities, we have made a difference in the lives of many people, and I’m excited about the future and the continued impact we can have on helping audiences of all ages get active on mental health.” Harry Kane MBE A huge thank you to Harry and his team for such a special experience and to Justin, Alicia and Dave for being part of a night our children will never forget.
