One way of supporting Haven House and families like Raylen's is to consider asking your friends, family and colleagues for donations instead of gifts when celebrating your special day.

You could be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, naming ceremony, christening, birth of a baby or getting married so please make 'Celebrate and Donate'  part of your special occasion and help us make a real difference to the families we support.

Every hour counts for our families because caring for a seriously ill child can be emotionally and physically challenging. We are here to provide support and round the clock care – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Another amazing child and his family have supported us through their birthday this year...

Mason asked his family and friends to donate to Haven House instead of buying a gift for his birthday and raised an amazing £1,500! He visited the playground to see where the children have fun and we presented him with a special certificate to say thank you. He drew a lovely picture for the nurses and also brought them some biscuits in too. His mum Sharon is keen to instill a giving culture in Mason so that as he grows up he will continue to help those that need it. Well done Mason, you are a Haven House Hero!

Jocasta and Mark got married recently and decided to support Haven House through their special day.

Jocasta said

"Having always visited Haven House on their lovely community event days, we really wanted to support them by offering our wedding guests the option to donate instead of buying us presents. We had been together for 15 years by the time we got married, so didn’t need the traditional ‘setting up home’ gifts and decided to delay our honeymoon until our young kids were old enough to either enjoy it with us, or be left with relatives, so a donation to support local children and their families seemed like a great option"

They raised over £2,100 to support our vital work. Huge thanks to Jocasta, Mark and their family and friends for their support.
