Haven House Children’s Hospice was delighted to be selected as the beneficiary for this year’s Universal Pictures International Golf Day on Friday 21 September 2018 at The Grove, Hertfordshire.

After a very windy day out on the course, guests were treated to a three-course dinner with a raffle, live auction and special film showcasing the work of Haven House. The film created by Jon Diamond, featured Steve and Rachel Brodie and their baby son, Isaac, who spent his final days at the hospice in 2016.

The golf day raised £9,580 from around 40 guests who also donated amazing raffle and auction prizes. Universal have also donated a money can’t buy prize to the live auction at our Big Birthday Ball on 11 October, and a trip to their exclusive screening room at their Tottenham Court Road offices for Haven House families is set to take place later this year.

Pushpinder Gill, Director of Income Generation and Marketing at Haven House, said: “We were delighted to take part in this year’s Universal Golf Day and we are amazed by the generosity of the guests who helped to raise over £9,500 for the hospice.

“We really value the support we have received from Universal over the past few months, not just from their Golf Day, but also in helping us organise the viewing of an unreleased film at the hospice for one of the young people we supported.”
