Welcoming new families from North East London Haven House Children’s Hospice is proud to be welcoming increasing numbers of families from across North East London, with children and young people already accessing vital support. In recent months, many families previously supported by Richard House have now transferred to Haven House. We are now caring for around 450 children and families, as we continue to extend our reach across North East London. Our teams are already providing a range of support, including respite and day care, as well as therapeutic services such as music therapy. We are also supporting families through the most difficult times, including at end of life, ensuring they receive compassionate, specialist care when they need it most. A key strength has been continuity of care, with families feeling more settled as they attend our welcome, family and sibling days. These events, filled with entertainment, music and activities for children, have provided real reassurance, with one parent describing the relief and joy of seeing their child comfortable and at ease in a new environment. Families have shared positive feedback following their visits: ““The entertainment for the children was brilliant.” “It allowed him to have a good look around and feel confident.” “Family activities and helpful staff keeping us and the children entertained. We are grateful and happy.”” Aisling Kilbane, Director of Clinical Services at Haven House, said: “We are proud to be welcoming families from across North East London and to be ensuring continuity of care at such a critical time. Our focus is on making sure every child and family feels supported, reassured and confident as they begin their journey with Haven House. It is a privilege to support families as they settle in, engage with our services and build trust with our teams.” Manage Cookie Preferences
