One way of supporting Haven House and families like Raylen's is to consider asking your friends, family and colleagues for donations instead of gifts when celebrating your special day.

You could be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, naming ceremony, Christening or getting married so please make 'Celebrate and Donate'  part of your special occasion and help us make a real difference to the families we support.

Additionally you can get involved in our 24/7 Challenge this year. If you are celebrating a special occasion on Saturday 24 July we would love to hear from you.

Every hour counts for our families because caring for a seriously ill child can be emotionally and physically challenging. We are here to provide support and round the clock care – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Some amazing children and their families have supported us through their birthdays this year...

Samai's Mum Sahiba asked family and friends to celebrate her 4th birthday by making a donation to Haven House and raised £250!

As we were in lockdown, Samai couldn’t have a birthday party. So we asked her what she would like to do instead and she was quick to say, ‘let’s do something special!’ That’s what sparked the idea and I thought it would be lovely to help a children’s charity as Samai would connect to that more. We chose Haven House because we’ve always supported the charity through her nursery, Treehouse.

Michelle, Sams's Mum told us...

Due to the COVID pandemic Sam had an online birthday party with his friends. As receiving presents was difficult during this time he wondered if he could send his presents to other children instead. So we came up with the idea to donate to Haven House as I had previously donated for a wedding present and it was a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion

Brother and sister John & Doreen Gilbert celebrated their 70th & 75th birthdays this year. They had previously donated when celebrating other milestone birthdays before Haven House was even established.

We have been supporters of Haven House from the very beginning when Sue Irwin first gave a talk at our Pensioners Club in Leytonstone to tell us about her vision of creating a children’s hospice locally. We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our family and friends and delighted to donate £895 to Haven House. We are thankful for the care you give to you seriously ill children and also for the support you provide for their families, which we feel is very important.
