In early 2023, Kam set her mind to raising £30,000 for Haven House.

In the following months, Kam has become a passionate community organiser. She has gone to great lengths to involve local residents and businesses in Epping and Waltham Abbey in her fundraising activities.

Kam organised raffles and silent auctions for which she sourced all the prizes through donations from local businesses. Kam organised a community event and a quiz night at Warlies Park House in March and another community event open to the local residents in May. Organising events like these are no small feat - she dedicated days of her time to recruiting and managing volunteers, sourcing stall holders, procuring donations of food, decorations and other attractions, an much more.

Kam's passion for Haven House is infectious and everyone she meets is inspired to help.

Kam is the Director of Kayson Solicitors, so she has built an extensive network in her local area. As well as hosting her amazing community events, she secured incredibly generous donations from individuals, foundations and businesses in her network.

In just a few short months, Kam has raised a staggering £30,603 to support seriously ill children and their families. We are so grateful for all her hard work raising funds and awareness for Haven House.

This amount of money can fund 221 hours (nine whole days) of in-house care. Thanks to Kam and all her donors and volunteers, Haven House can continue to be a safe and supportive space for seriously ill children and their families.
