Good Morning Britain presenters Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold let their hair down for a night out at the Haven House Children’s Hospice Autumn Ball on Thursday 5 October at the London Marriott Hotel in Park Lane.

Richard and Kate co-hosted the glitzy black tie event, sponsored by The Health Lottery ELM Ltd, and Ben, a long-serving Patron of Haven House, unveiled the charity’s new appeal film which will be launched on social media on Monday 9 October for Hospice Care Week.

Along with around 300 guests, three young people from Haven House’s Teenage Cancer Group, who feature in appeal film, attended the ball and intu Lakeside Shopping Centre donated shopping experiences so they were able to dress up for their special night.

A record number of TV stars attended the ball including Haven House Patron Vicki Michelle, Haven House ambassador Rochelle Humes, Dr Ranj Singh, host of CBeebies series, Get Well Soon and resident doctor on This Morning, and Dr Zoe Williams, resident GP on This Morning and presenter of Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.

They were joined by Britain's Next Top Model judge Paul Sculfor, This Morning and QVC presenter Hayley Sparkes, Laura Hamilton, presenter of A Place In The Sun and Gladiators’ star James Crossley - who memorably appeared as ‘Hunter’ in the original ITV series.

Guests enjoyed a red carpet welcome reception, three-course meal and live music entertainment. Prized lots which went under the hammer at auction included a luxury ski break to St Moritz which raised £2,600 and the opportunity to meet Sir Rod Stewart with front row audience tickets sold for £1,300.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “This year’s ball really exceeded our expectations for attracting new celebrity support. Richard Arnold and Kate Garraway were wonderful hosts and we were delighted that our Patron, Ben Shephard, joined them on stage to introduce our appeal film.

“Considering all three of them had to be up very early on Friday to present Good Morning Britain, we were incredibly grateful that they gave their time for Haven House.

“I would like to thank all of our guests for their exceptional generosity. The ball raised a fantastic amount for our hospice and will help us support more life-limited children and their families in the coming year.”
