We are delighted to announce our latest celebrity ambassador; bona fide national treasure, Mr Christopher Biggins.

Biggins, a veteran of stage and screen, has been supporting the hospice since 2013, when he acted as auctioneer for the hospice’s annual Autumn Ball.

Since then, he has visited Haven House to meet the hospice’s ‘coffee morning mums’ and has really helped to promote the work of the hospice in the media.

Speaking about his new appointment, Biggins explained; ‘I was really flattered to be invited to become an ambassador for this amazing charity and of course I said yes.’

He continues; ‘It’s my local children’s hospice and it does fantastic work in the local community, so I’m really looking to forward to getting even more involved.’

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House added; ‘Having Christopher as our new celebrity ambassador is wonderful news. He has already done so much to raise the profile of Haven House and it’s great to now make the relationship formal.’

He continues; ‘We’re very lucky to have such great support from our local celebrity network, they are crucial in helping us to promote our work in the local community and beyond.’

Hackney resident Biggins, joins TV star Mark Wright as the second celebrity ambassador for the Woodford Green charity.
