Haven House Children’s Hospice is set to benefit from a new Charity of the Year partnership with City-based specialist commercial insurance provider CNA Hardy.

Staff from the office in London will have the chance to undertake a range of fundraising and volunteering opportunities for the hospice which supports life-limited children and their families in North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

The partnership, announced on Monday 29 Febuary, will run until 2017 and will see CNA Hardy employees fundraise through a number of different activities. Staff will also be encouraged to use company-sponsored charity days to volunteer at the hospice which is situated in Woodford Green.

Dave Brosnan, CEO of CNA Hardy, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Haven House in providing care to life-limited children and their families. We hope our collaboration will raise much-needed funds and also opportunities to engage with new audiences, providing more opportunities to inspire people to support Haven House. As a global company and as individuals we take our Social Responsibility seriously - by building strong, enduring local partnerships, we hope to deliver tangible benefits to our communities across the world."

The partnership comes at a time of expansion for the hospice. In October, Haven House launched Vision 2020, a new five-year strategy with aim of increasing the number of children that it supports to 500 per year by the end of the decade.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “We are delighted that CNA Hardy has chosen Haven House to be its Charity of the Year. Not only will the partnership help with our plans to support more life-limited children and families in our area, but it can also help raise the profile of our work in the City.”
