Haven House Children’s Hospice has been ‘Highly Commended’ in the inaugural Essex Digital Awards, which celebrate the online achievements of businesses, charities and schools in the county.

The hospice was recognised for its use of social media and website, which has grown exponentially over the past year:

  • Social media reach has increased by over 800%  
  • 600k Twitter reach each quarter
  • Website traffic has increased by 10k
  • Website about to become mobile and tablet compliant
  • Innovative use of infographics to promote the work of the hospice

Speaking about the industry recognition, Jenni Anderson, the charity’s Director of Income Generation and Marketing, said: ‘We are a small, local hospice with very limited resource for digital activity, so it means so much to have been recognized for producing innovative and far-reaching work.’

She continues; ‘Through our digital media, we have a great product, where we can engage with our supporters every day.  We are now focused on using this online support to engage celebrities and raise much needed funds for local life-limited children and families.’
