Volunteers’ Week is dedicated to celebrating and thanking those who give up their time to make a difference across communities.

Volunteers are the driving force behind Haven House allowing us to support hundreds of seriously ill children and their families in our local area. Whether it’s lending a helping hand, sharing a skill or simply spreading kindness, their commitment does not go unnoticed.

Our brilliant Volunteer Development Managers, Andrea and Lisa, support over 400 volunteers that work across all parts of our organisation. Our volunteers play a vital role in running our shops, at our fundraising events, at family events, and in maintaining our wonderful grounds and buildings. Volunteers also provide specialist support to our care and fundraising teams and our volunteer trustees and committee members help to lead and guide our organisation.

Ralph Coulbeck, CEO at Haven House, said:

"Volunteering is really thriving at Haven House; our numbers are increasing and feedback from volunteers through our annual survey is very positive. We recently received an award from Queen Mary University for Community Organisation of the Year for our volunteering services. Thank you to each and every one of our volunteers for helping to make Haven House a success. We appreciate everything you do."
