Haven House Children’s Hospice is set to benefit from a new Charity of the Year partnership with Insight Investment, a global investment manager and the third largest manager of pension fund assets in the UK.

In June, Haven House successfully competed in a ballot of Insight Investment employees who elected to support the hospice from a comprehensive shortlist of employee-nominated causes.

The partnership will officially launch in the autumn and will run until 2017. Staff at the investment management company will have the chance to undertake a range of fundraising and volunteering opportunities for the hospice which supports life-limited children and their families in North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

To herald the start of fund raising activity, a team of six from Insight Investment will cycle from London to Paris in August. Employees will also be encouraged to use company-sponsored volunteering days to help at the hospice and its four charity shops.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “We are delighted that Insight Investment has chosen Haven House to be its Charity of the Year.

“The partnership will help us in our plans to support more life-limited children and families in our area as part of our Vision 2020 strategy.

“We look forwarding to welcoming Insight Investment to Haven House.”
