Mark Wright takes part in Golf Day

TV presenter Mark Wright helped raise £13,500 for Haven House Children’s Hospice by taking part in a Golf Day at Abridge Golf & Country Club in Essex on Thursday 12 May.

Mark, an ambassador for Haven House, was joined by Chingford-born professional golfer Oli Fisher and South Woodford TV and film actor Kevin Leslie.

More than 90 people took part in the event which was sponsored by VFUND.

Golfers enjoyed stunning views of the Essex countryside as they made their way around the course with glorious sunshine and summer temperatures making for perfect playing conditions.

Mark Wright said: “I was delighted to take part in this year’s Golf Day for Haven House. It was great to see so many people supporting the charity and enjoying an excellent sunny day in the Essex countryside.”

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “Our Golf Day has raised a fantastic amount for life-limited children and their families in our surrounding area. The weather was absolutely magnificent and I would like to thank Abridge Golf & Country Club and our sponsor, VFUND, for making the day such a success.”

City financial investment company State Street were the winning golf team.
