We're delighted to announce Rochelle Humes as our first female celebrity ambassador.

Speaking about her new appointment, Rochelle explained; ‘I’m really pleased to be an ambassador for a charity that does so much for life-limited children and families. I grew up in the area, so I know first-hand about its positive impact on the local community.’ She continues; ‘Meeting the mums and children at Haven House was an amazing experience and made me very proud to be an ambassador for such a worthwhile cause.’

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House added; ‘On behalf of everyone at Haven House, we’re delighted to have Rochelle firmly on board.’ He continues; ‘Our ambassadors are chosen very carefully to reflect the values and ethos of the organisation and because of their links to the local area – Rochelle fulfils the criteria perfectly and we’re very happy to be working with her.’

The Upminster-born TV presenter and designer recently carried out a private visit of the hospice and met some of the children and families who use the services at the Woodford Green charity. One of those she met, was 30-year-old Jade Morgan, whose son George has used the hospice’s services; she said of the visit; ‘It was lovely to meet Rochelle – we grew up in the same area and she was very easy to talk to. She was really interested in George and seems really engaged with the cause.’

Rochelle joins Hackney resident Christopher Biggins and TV star Mark Wright as the third celebrity ambassador for Haven House.
