Big Summer Festival promises heaps of fun

Haven House Children’s Hospice will be hosting its Big Summer Festival on Saturday 29 June – and a fun-filled afternoon is promised.

A mini zoo, 16 live music acts, an enchanted forest trail and inflatables are among the highlights at the festival to be held by the Woodford Green based hospice.

The festival, which replaces the hospice’s annual summer fair, is taking place in the hospice’s beautiful grounds. The event has a new look and will feature a family zone, playground, fun obstacle course, barbecue, food stalls and a bar tent for Beer, Pimms and Mocktails.

Two stages will host live music for the afternoon from a variety of genres from folk, swing, RnB and pop. There will be plenty on offer for children including an inflatable football goal, slide, games sandpit, craft making and slime. Throughout the day there will be a live nursery rhyme performer and an appearance from one of Disney’s most loved characters.

The Summer Festival is all about bringing people together. This year we are pulling out all the stops to make it even more fun and the biggest and best we have ever staged. We hope as many people as possible will join us at some point during the day and we appreciate all the contributions and voluntary help we receive to make the event a success. All the money raised will help us to care for children and families in our community who are facing a life-limiting illness.
