We held our annual Summer Fayre on Sunday 5 July 2015 with almost 1,000 local people attending the event raising £12,000.

A number of our children and families also came to support their local hospice.

The star attraction for many of our guests was a Blues Brothers tribute band, Jailhouse Blues Brothers. The duo arrived in a customised "Bluesmobile" and performed a set of soul classics.

We also had a barbeque and Pimm's station, stalls selling clothing and toys, as well as goods from our three local charity shops. For youngsters with energy to burn, there were trampolines, swing boats, a penalty shoot-out and a rodeo bull. The Epping Forest Pipe Band also made an appearance, brining the sound of Scottish Highlands to Woodford Green.

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said; ‘The Summer Fayre is one of the highlights of our events calendar and this year has been no exception. A big thank you to our fantastic volunteers, who made it all possible, and to everyone who came along on the day, including of course our very own Blues Brothers.’

The event organisers also used the fayre to promote the new Haven House raffle, with a top prize of £1,000 in cash. To find out more and buy a ticket visit: www.raffleplayer.com/HavenHouseCH

Haven House would also like to thank Motorpoint Chingford who sponsored the event.
