Our Sparkle Walk is back, and it’s bigger, brighter and packed with even more glitter. We launched our Sparkle Walk with the help of TOWIE’s favourite couple Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd.

The pair, who have been supporters of the Woodford-based charity for a number of years, are calling on the local community to sign-up to the 10km sponsored walk.

Last year the event raised more than £21,000 as over around 200 women walked from Woodford Green to the Cuckfield pub in Wanstead.

This year the walk will take place on Friday 10 May and Sparkle Walkers will be taking on a new 10k route. The walk starts at Christchurch Green in Wanstead, and again finishes at the Cuckfield, with the new route encompassing Epping Forest, South Woodford and Wanstead, with a new halfway Sparkle Station on the grounds of Haven House.

Billie and Greg, who visited the hospice earlier this week, spent time meeting children and families during a special coffee morning. They also took part in a music therapy session with the children and their little boy Arthur, highlighting to them just how important Haven House services are to our local children and families. They really got a feel for how important children’s hospices services are.

Visiting Haven House was wonderful, we had never been to a children’s hospice before and didn’t know what to expect was nervous before arriving, but what I found was a warm, loving place with emphasis on fun and happiness. Meeting the children, families and staff was a real privilege. Haven House really is a place where families can make memories. The staff are incredible. It’s amazing how much actually goes on at the hospice and how far the staff go to make things happen. Greg and I are absolutely thrilled to be supporting the charity's Sparkle Walk and we really hope the local community can get behind this fantastic event.

Registration for the Sparkle Walk is £15 (per person) , and that includes a glass of fizz and a t-shirt. We ask that each participant raises £60 in sponsorship.
