Haven House celebrated the end of its year-long relationship with CIBC Children’s Foundation, by collecting a cheque for £32,500 last Wednesday (19th).

The hospice was chosen as a CIBC ‘Charity of the Year’ and the relationship with the St Pauls-based institution has raised a whopping £62,500 in total; vital funds which will help support the charity’s work with local life-limited children and families. The money was raised through a number of fundraising events such as a breakfast launch, golf day and their annual ‘Miracle Day’ in December.

The cheque was presented to Haven House by Barking-born rugby player, Jason Leonard, a Haven House supporter, who has been involved with a number of CIBC fundraisers over the year.

Speaking about the relationship with the bank, Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House explained; ‘It has been an absolute pleasure to work with CIBC’s Children's Foundation and the money raised will help us to do so much to support life-limited children.’ He continues; ‘We have been overwhelmed by the amount they have raised for Haven House and want to say a huge thank you to all staff for their impressive fundraising efforts.’
