A record number of people got into the Christmas spirit last weekend (Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December) when we kick-started our festive celebrations.

The cold crisp weather provided the perfect Winter's backdrop for our annual Christmas Grotto. More than 900 people visited us across the weekend to enjoy some festive fun with the event raising around £12,170. Our hospice was decked with twinkling lights, Christmas trees and a giant snow globe!

This year, we were delighted to welcome 154 hospice family members to the event. Guests enjoyed tasty Winter warmers and sweet treats and our little guests were able to meet the man himself and his friendly elves in Santa’s Grotto.

A special mention to Reena Kalia and the Life in London Trust for donating 320 Grotto gifts and sweet boxes. Steve Shelton, Andrew Dodd, Graham Cross, Terry Higgins, and Roger Bartlett for volunteering their time to be our wonderful Santas and to our elf-tastic helpers Kate and Danella.
